This year, the theme of our 30th festival will celebrate 200 years of Greek Independence. Patterned as it was, after our American War of Independence, the Greek War of Independence freed the Greeks from 400 years of Ottoman Empire subjugation, preserving Christianity in Southern Europe and culminating in the creation of the modern Greek State.
