Light Candle at St. John

Upon entering an Orthodox Church, it is customary to light candles and offer prayers for one’s personal needs or that of a family member or friend. Candles are lit before icons as a sign of one’s faith and hope in God’s help that is always sent to all who turn to Him and His Saints with faith and prayers. The candle is also a witness of our faith, and expresses our burning and grateful love for God.

As we are physically separated form one another and we are unable to light an actual candle, we want to help.

You can now make an offering for candles on our website an we will make sure we will light a physical one for you in our Narthex.

Kindly click on the candle image below, and our online giving system will open. Enter your credentials, choose the “Candles” option and enter the amount you want. You can mention the type of candle you want and a few names. We are limited by the system on the amount of text you can input. We will receive an email and we will light a candle for you.
