September at St. John’s GOC

Brothers and Sisters in Christ Happy New Year, Kali Xronia!

I would like to introduce myself as I have recently been blessed with the opportunity to help with the social media here at St. John’s. My name is Shell (Monica) Pangle and I was received into the church this past Pascha. I have been married for 16 years and I have two teenagers, a son and a daughter. You may see my daughter Adalyn, at church with me sometimes. I am very busy being a homeschool and baseball mom but in my free time I enjoy reading and learning more about Orthodox theology (and probably annoying everyone around me with what I’ve been learning).

My prayer is to share the joy of what it means to be a part of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church in the 21st century and more specifically to share the beautiful community we get to be a part of here at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.

Looking ahead – You may see me around taking pictures and videos, if you would like to be excluded from social media please reach out to the office. I’ll be regularly updating our Facebook page, website blog and also a new instagram page that we have in the works. I will be posting about parish specific events (there’s a lot of them!) and Orthodox feasts and holidays too. I would love to highlight some of the amazing ministries we have in a more in-depth way, share special bookstore items and icons, bring back Father Vasile’s coffee talks and more.

I hope you will follow along, enjoy and share the content we have coming up for our wonderful community.
