Stewardship 2022

Beloved in Christ,

Our Church, St. John The Baptist, is our spiritual home. It is a place of prayer, comfort, spiritual healing, and celebration. You may have been brought here on your 40th day by your parents, or it may have been the destination of your spiritual journey. For all of us, St. John’s is a spiritual home to which we can always return. We are brothers and sisters in Christ – a family.

We are all members of the same Christian family, stewards of the Gospel and stewards of our parish. We see our church, not only as it is now, but as it could be tomorrow. Therefore, we offer ourselves sacrificially, so that, as members of the Body of Christ, we may reach our full potential in Him, both as persons and also as a community of faith, gathered around the Eucharistic Sacrifice.

Although the past two years have been challenging due to the pandemic, our parish ministries have continued to be active and fulfill their mission. Philoptochos, GOYA, Young Adults, Sunday School, Men’s Ministry, Catechism and many more, are eagerly awaiting for you to join in. More so, our ministries have received a new home in the newly renovated “Elpis and Dan Peters” Parish Center. This has been possible by your combined sacrificial participation.  We can now renew our community together. Thank you!

Your participation in the life of the church through Time, Talent and Treasure is greatly appreciated by your Church Family. This supports the many ministries and operating expenses of St. John’s.  We cannot fulfill our financial commitments without your caring participation.

As we start our stewardship drive for 2022, we kindly ask you to prayerfully consider continuing or increasing your current commitment to meet the budget for the coming year. The Bible offers us the opportunity of tithing, which is the first 10% of our treasures. Even if you may not be there yet, consider a 10% increase from the previous year to get closer to this goal.

I our Stewardship section of our website there is all the information for becoming a 2022 Steward. Please click here and fill out an online Stewardship Pledge, or fill out the physical Stewardship card you have received in the mail and bring it to the church on our Stewardship Sunday, November 21Remember, a new Stewardship pledge is required every year.

This year our parish is transitioning to a new parish software called Realm that will keep us all connected with the church activities and with our ministries, as well as allowing a simple online process for pledges and donations. We will send everyone an invite to join after the General Assembly.

We offer you our deepest gratitude for your dedication to our parish and your participation in Christ’s work of salvation.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Vasile Tudora (Parish Priest) and Chrysanthi Andromalos (Stewardship Chair)
